Membership at Summit Crossing is something that we do not take lightly. Because of this, we ask people to be a part of our community for a time before they completely join. We also ask for a certain level of commitment in certain areas - typically the Corporate Gatherings, Missional Community, and some form of service and mission.

why is membership important?

The plan of the mystery is for God to get glory through Christ and his multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-social, multi-generational bride. And only together with the saints can we begin to comprehend this love that surpasses knowledge, this filling of all fulness.

We are one body, empowered by one Spirit, and with many gifts. Together, we can be a picture of Christ - literally His body here on earth. This requires all of us! The purpose of shepherds, teachers, and all church leaders, is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry.

7 Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power. 8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, 10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Eph 3:7-10, 17-19
